The 4 stanza poem entitled "The Sign" reads as follows: "NO BATHING WEEDKAYS:/SWIMMING WEEKENDS/THROUGH SEPTEMBER/WEATHER PERMITTING/But the sandpipers/never get far enough/up the beach to read/these latest instructions/and so go about/their business of breaking/the law so naturally/you could say it's criminal/to have to watch them./" One "with compliments" card from Oberon Press loosely inserted.
